“You Are Not Forgotten, You Are Valued” – Governor Radda
Katsina State Governor, Malam Dikko Umaru Radda, has flagged off the distribution of economic empowerment items to 160 orphans and vulnerable people in partnership with Qatar Charity.
The ceremony held at Muhammadu Buhari House, Katsina, saw the distribution of 20 tricycles, 20 tricycle cargoes, 20 grinding machines, and 100 sewing machines to beneficiaries across the state.
Governor Radda described the initiative as more than material support, emphasizing its role in restoring dignity and creating opportunities for vulnerable citizens.
“Orphans, widows, the elderly, and vulnerable individuals: You are not forgotten. You are seen. You are valued,” the Governor affirmed during the flag-off ceremony.
He urged beneficiaries to use the items wisely to start small businesses, generate income, support their families, and improve their livelihoods through hard work and discipline.
“The empowerment items are more than material support – they are tools for transformation and steps toward economic independence,” Governor Radda stated.
The Governor reassured citizens that his administration will continue programs promoting inclusion and reducing poverty, reiterating his commitment to leaving no one behind.
He also noted ongoing efforts in social safety nets, vocational training, microfinance schemes, and community programs designed to support vulnerable populations.
Governor Radda acknowledged Qatar Charity Nigeria’s critical role in humanitarian work across Katsina State and Nigeria.
“Your work is planting seeds of change, and we are deeply grateful,” he said, pledging to expand such initiatives to empower every orphan, widow, and vulnerable person in the state.
Hon. Jamila Abdu Mani, who organized the event, explained that the empowerment items are intended to help beneficiaries become self-reliant and generate sustainable income.
She praised Qatar Charity Nigeria’s past contributions, including multi-service centres, mosques, and boreholes that have positively impacted local communities.
