A one-day capacity-building training on agenda setting for local government chairmen has been conducted for 34 youth-led organisations in Katsina State.

The training, funded by the Youth Action for Local Development (YALD) Project, aimed to strengthen youth inclusion in local government and promote good governance.

The Project Technical Coordinator, Yahaya Lugga, said the project seeks to empower young people to drive local development and promote good governance at the local government level.

The training provided opportunities for networking and sharing of best practices, equipping LGA representatives with the necessary skills and knowledge to effectively implement the YALD Project.

During the training, Youth Development Expert, Bello, presented a paper titled: Building Youth Power: Advocacy & Community Organizing For Development in Katsina State.

Bello stated that what they are discussing with them is a strategy in identifying their stakeholders, how they can approach them, and be able to carry out successful campaigns in their communities.
