Katsina United FC have cleared five (5) months of outstanding salaries for all the club’s Newly recruited players and placed them on the state salary structure.

The Club Chairman/supervising coordinator, Alh Surajo Malumfashi, disclosed this in an interview with media personnel following the completion of data capturing of all the players.

Alhaji Surajo Malumfashi acknowledged the commitment of the state governor, Mal. Dikko Umaru Radda, PhD, for approving the funds to settle all the outstanding salaries owing to the players.

Malumfashi also used the interview to commend the state Sports Commissioner, Engr. Surajo Yazid Abukur, for staying firm to ensure the smooth running of the club.

The Chairman in the interview noted that as at now all the Club Players, Technical Crew and backroom staff are being captured in to the State government salary structure and will be receiving their entitlement at the end of every month.

Similarly, Malumfashi revealed that the Club has successfully enrolled over one hundred State homegrown players drawn from Team B and that of U-19 into the Salary Scheme, out of which none of them will receive below fifty thousand naira (50,000).

He described the effort as commendable and motivational being the first of its kind in the history of the state in football-related matters.

Surajo Malumfashi therefore restated his readiness to complement the gesture by continuing to guide the club to victories in both home and away matches.
