The Katsina Youth Craft Village (KYCV) has recorded another significant milestone as twelve (12) instructors of the Centre successfully obtained the Certified Digital Skills Trainer certification issued by the Computer Professionals (Registration Council of Nigeria) (CPN) after undergoing a rigorous professional training and examination.
The certification is part of a Continuing Professional Development initiative aimed at strengthening the digital teaching capacity of instructors and enhancing the quality of skills training delivered at the Centre.
This achievement was made possible through the visionary leadership and unwavering support of the Executive Governor of Katsina State, Malam Dikko Umar Radda, whose administration continues to prioritize human capital development and technical skills acquisition across the state.
The Management and staff of the Katsina Youth Craft Village expressed profound gratitude to the Governor for sponsoring the training programme, noting that the initiative will significantly improve the Centre’s ability to deliver modern, industry-relevant digital skills training to youths.
According to the Coordinator of KYCV, Engr. Kabir Abdullahi Kofar Soro noted that the certification represents a strategic investment in the Centre’s training capacity.
“Skills training always thrives with constant training. By upgrading the competencies of our instructors, the government is strengthening the entire skills ecosystem of the state,” the Coordinator stated.
Engr. Kofar Soro further emphasized that the continuous support from Governor Radda’s administration has repositioned the Katsina Youth Craft Village as a leading institution for vocational training and skills development in Nigeria.
The Centre noted that the Governor’s commitment to skills development has not only improved training infrastructure and programmes but has also placed the Katsina Youth Craft Village firmly on the map of recognized skills acquisition centres and NSQ training providers in the country.
The Management reaffirmed its commitment to supporting the vision of the Katsina State Government by equipping young people with practical, marketable, and technology-driven skills that will enable them to become productive contributors to the state’s economy.
The Katsina Youth Craft Village, therefore, extends its sincere appreciation to His Excellency, Governor Dikko Umar Radda, for his continued investment in capacity building, youth empowerment, and the advancement of technical and vocational education in Katsina State.
