Katsina state government has reiterated its commitment towards consolidation of small and medium enterprises among the students to become self sufficient.
The commissioner for higher technical and vocational education Alh Isah Muhammad Musa disclosed this while monitoring the conduct of final Examinations of students of B A T C Katsina.
Alh Isah Musa who stressed the importance of skills acquisition, revealed that the Administration of Governor Dikko Ummaru Radda has planned an enabling environment for small and medium enterprises to thrive in the state, through various youths interventions across the 34 local government areas of the state.
The commissioner maintained that the state government has mandated the contractors to ensure patronage and procurement of materials manufactured locally for the development of small scale businesses thereby improving the state revenue generation.
He enjoined the students of the center to remained steadfast while in pursuance of their skills and ready to be employers of labour for the economic wellbeing of the state.
In his remarks, the centre Manager, Alh Shuaibu Yusuf expressed gratitude to the state government for making the centre well equipped with requisite facilities that eased its operations.
He assured that the centre apprentices can successfully handle various works with desirable modern world class techniques.
