The Katsina State Police Command has warned against careless horse riding reckless driving and acts that would endanger peoples life during the Eid-El- kabir.
The command assured that it had put in place strategies that would ensure hitch- free festival in the state.
The Command’s spokesman, DSP Abubakar Aliyu made the declaration in a statement made public in katsina on Wednesday.
The statement added that adequate manpower had been put up in the state to ensure the safety of lives and property during and after the festival.
It wished residents a happy festival, promising to deal with miscreants and whoever forments trouble during the festival.
The statement read ” The Katsina State police command under the able leadership of CP Bello Shehu, psc, fdc, MNIM, is pleased to announce that in view of the forthcoming Eid-el Kabir festival, it has put in place adequate security arrangements to ensure a peaceful and hitch-free Sallah celebration throughout the state.
“To achieve this, the command has deployed adequate personnel and assets to strategic locations across the state.
” In furtherance of our commitment to protecting lives and property, we urge the good people of the state to cooperate with the command as well as other security agencies deployed across the state, especially for the sallah special duty.
” We call on parents and guardians to caution their children and wards against engaging in activities that contravene the law.
” We specifically wish to warn against reckless and unlawful horse riding, dangerous driving, unlawful gathering, substance abuse, etcetera, which may cause chaos and endanger the lives of good people of the state.
“Furthermore, we caution individuals/miscreants with malicious intentions against causing trouble; they are hereby advised to discard their plans, as the Command is ready to take decisive action against anyone who attempts to disrupt the peace and tranquillity of the state before, during, and after the festivity.”

The statement said the state Commissioner of Police, wished Muslim faithfuls a happy Sallah celebration and assure them of the command’s unwavering commitment towards their safety and security.
