Currently, Acting Governor Malam Faruk Lawal Jobe is chairing an emergency security council meeting at the Katsina State Government House. The session is ongoing.
The meeting brings together key heads of security agencies in the state, including representatives from the Army, Defence Staff, Directorate of State Security (DG SS), Commissioner of Police, Controller of Immigration, Commanders of Civil Defence, Customs, and Road Safety, the Commissioner of Internal Security and Home Affairs, as well as prominent religious leaders.
Deliberations at the meeting focus on critical insecurity challenges and strategies to ensure the safety and continued progress of the citizens of Katsina State.
