The Katsina State Government has strengthened its security infrastructure with the delivery of 8 brand-new APC armored vehicles, just received, aimed at boosting operational capacity and improving mobility across the state’s most vulnerable areas.
Katsina State Acting Governor, Malam Faruk Lawal Jobe, has reaffirmed the state government’s steadfast commitment to ensuring the safety and security of all citizens, following the recent incident in Gidan Mantau, Karfi Ward, Malumfashi Local Government Area.

“The battle against banditry is not over until it is won,” Governor Lawal Jobe stressed. “We will not be distracted by the cowardly actions of these criminals, who attack innocent citizens in the early hours of the day. We commend the courage of the local communities, who resisted and overpowered the attackers, making their efforts to disrupt peace unsuccessful.”

Governor Lawal Jobe also highlighted collaboration with the federal government, noting recent interventions by members of the National Assembly, who met with the Chief of Defence Staff and Chief of Army Staff to secure additional personnel and resources. He announced that the Chief of Army Staff will visit Katsina tomorrow for an on-ground assessment of security needs.
“Most bandits have now retreated into the bush, and due to the challenging terrain, we require the support of both the Nigerian Army and the Air Force. With timely intelligence from local communities, we have successfully rescued victims and will continue operations until the state is secure,” the Acting Governor affirmed.
The Acting Governor concluded by urging citizens to remain confident in the state government’s efforts, stating: “We will not be distracted. Our resolve is firm, and we will continue until Katsina State is safe for all.”
