Katsina State Governor, Malam Dikko Umaru Radda, today inspected the 35-year-old Jumu’ah Mosque at Sabon Layi, along Dutsinma Road in Kankia.
The visit was to assess the mosque’s condition, which has long served as a centre of worship and community gatherings. Governor Radda expressed concern over its dilapidated state and stressed the need for urgent rehabilitation.
He noted that his administration is committed to supporting places of worship and providing safe, decent facilities for citizens to perform their religious obligations.
According to him, the planned rehabilitation will help preserve the mosque and further strengthen the spiritual and social life of the community.
