Katsina State Governor, Malam Dikko Umaru Radda, has called on stakeholders of the All Progressives Congress (APC) in the state to set up a special committee to identify, document and recognise individuals who have made outstanding contributions to the growth of the party and the success of the present administration, with a view to appreciating and supporting them.

The Governor made the call yesterday when a delegation of the APC Stakeholders Forum, led by its State Chairman, Alhaji Salisu Mamman Kadandani (CEO, Continental), paid him a courtesy and solidarity visit at Katsina.

The delegation comprised party elders, commissioners, advisers, local government chairmen and other senior officials from across the 34 local government areas of the state.

“I propose that you establish a committee to identify those who have contributed significantly to this political process of ours, so that we can collectively see what we can do for them. I alone cannot identify everyone, but you can,” Governor Radda stated.

The Governor assured that the government would support the committee to ensure that all those who have worked hard and made sacrifices for the party and the state are properly recognised and treated fairly.

He described the visit as a strong demonstration of unity, loyalty and confidence in his leadership, and thanked the stakeholders for their unwavering support for his administration and the APC.

“I sincerely appreciate this show of solidarity and commitment. Your presence here today reflects the unity and strength of our great party and our collective resolve to continue working together for the peace, progress and development of Katsina State,” he said.

Governor Radda noted that the APC Stakeholders Forum and the Renewed Hope Initiative have become important platforms for grassroots mobilisation, party cohesion, political education and public engagement, stressing that their roles are critical in strengthening democracy and sustaining public trust in government.

He urged party leaders and stakeholders to continue to promote discipline, tolerance, inclusiveness and collective responsibility, describing unity of purpose as the party’s greatest asset and the surest path to sustainable development and future electoral success.

“Our strength lies in our unity. When we work together with sincerity, mutual respect and a shared vision, no challenge is insurmountable. This is the spirit that will continue to move Katsina State and our party forward,” he added.

Earlier, the State Chairman of the APC Stakeholders Forum, Alhaji Salisu Mamman Kadandani, said the visit was aimed at further strengthening internal unity, appreciating the Governor’s people-oriented and visionary leadership, and consolidating the party’s structure across the 34 local government areas of the state.

He commended Governor Radda for the remarkable achievements recorded by his administration in critical sectors such as infrastructure, education, healthcare, agriculture, security and human capital development.

According to him, the Governor’s leadership has restored public confidence in governance, strengthened trust between government and the people, and ensured that the dividends of democracy are reaching communities at the grassroots.

Kadandani also praised the administration’s commitment to transparency, accountability, inclusiveness and equity, noting that prudent management of resources and effective stakeholder engagement have set a new standard of governance in Katsina State.

Also speaking, the Katsina State Coordinator of the Renewed Hope Initiative and former Deputy Governor, Alhaji Tukur Ahmad Jikamshi, said the initiative has gained wide acceptance across the state and has been fully mobilised to support the APC at both state and federal levels ahead of the 2027 general elections.

“We are fortunate in Katsina State because we have concrete achievements to present to the people,” he said.

He noted that the programmes and projects of Governor Malam Dikko Umaru Radda in infrastructure, education, healthcare, agriculture and human capital development are visible and impactful.

“This gives us confidence as we go to the grassroots to engage our people and promote the Renewed Hope Agenda,” Jikamshi added.

He further commended the Governor for fostering unity and cooperation among party leaders, local government chairmen, stakeholders’ forums and the APC State Strategy Committee, noting that his inclusive leadership style has strengthened party cohesion and effectiveness.
