Unguwar Gishir community in Malumfashi Local Government Area of Katsina State was allegedly attacked by suspected bandits late sunday night, abducting several residents and looting valuables and belongings of residents.
Acording to a security expert who shared the alert on monday, he explained that among those abducted during the latest raid is a young man whose wedding ceremony had been scheduled for March 20. Residents described the incident as particularly tragic for the family.
he explained further that, about three years ago, the victim’s father was also abducted by bandits and later developed paralysis reportedly linked to the psychological and physical trauma he suffered during captivity.
Many community members have called for urgent intervention from security agencies to prevent further attacks and secure the release of those abducted.
