The Katsina State Commissioner of Youth and Sports Development Alhaji Aliyu Lawal Zakari has urged new Members of Sports Associations in the state to work tirelessly to promote sports development, unity and excellence in the state.
Alhaji Aliyu Zakari made the call during the inauguration of the Newly Members of the Sports Association in the state held at the conference Hall of Muhammadu Dikko Stadium Katsina.
The Commissioner said the vision of thriving Sports is to create a talents, promotes excellence and as well to inspire youth to reach their potentials .
He charged the new members to be proactive and innovative, work together to achieve the desired goals, prioritize the development of the athletes and sports infrastructure, accountable and transparent in their duty above all to identify and nurture young talents to ensure a bright future for the state.
Earlier the Director Sports, Alhaji Bello Abdullahi said the inauguration of the new Members of the Sports Association will give room to discuss on the ways of promoting and development of sporting activates across the state.
Others who spoke at the event includes, former Commissioner of Sports Alhaji Manir Talba, Kadarkon Katsina Alhaji Danladi Umar, Former Sports Director, Alhaji Abubakar Aliyu Kofar Soro and Former Deputy Accountant General Alhaji Sani Lawal BK among others.
