














As part of activities marking Katsina’s 38th anniversary, Governor Malam Dikko Umaru Radda, yesterday inspected the ongoing construction of a Liquefied Natural Gas/Compressed Natural Gas (LNG/CNG) station in Katsina metropolis.
The project, championed by Greenville Energy and executed by the indigenous firm Distilled Design Concept Limited, is sited on land allocated by the Katsina State Government to support the initiative. It is also being supervised by the Department of Power and Energy and the Rural Electrification Board under the leadership of Dr. Hafiz Ahmed, Special Adviser to the Governor on Power and Energy.
On arrival, the Governor was warmly received by Dr. Hafiz Ahmed alongside the project engineers. After touring the facility, Governor Radda expressed satisfaction with the pace and quality of work, commending the contractors and engineers for their professionalism and commitment.
He described the project as a landmark step toward boosting sustainable alternative energy supply, creating employment opportunities, and strengthening the state’s industrial base. The Governor also reaffirmed his administration’s determination to support investors and indigenous companies driving green growth and sustainable development in Katsina State.
Governor Radda was accompanied on the inspection by his Principal Private Secretary, Abdullahi Aliyu Turaji; the Commissioner for Religious Affairs, Alhaji Shehu Dabai; the Commissioner for Health, Dr. Musa Adamu; the Chairman of Katsina Local Government, Isah Miqdad; and other senior government officials.
