- Pledges partnership to flush out bandits, terrorists
Katsina State Governor, Malam Dikko Umaru Radda, has congratulated Mr. Olatunji Disu on his appointment as Acting Inspector-General of Police.
Governor Radda described the appointment as strategic and timely, expressing confidence that the new police chief would bring fresh energy and innovation to Nigeria’s security architecture.
The Governor noted that Disu’s distinguished career, marked by successful operations against organized crime and commitment to community policing, positions him well for the challenges ahead.
“The new IGP assumes office at a critical time when Nigerians expect decisive action against insecurity. His track record inspires confidence that he will deliver results,” the governor said.
Governor Radda pledged Katsina State’s full support and partnership with the Nigeria Police Force under Disu’s leadership to flush out bandits and terrorists terrorizing the state.
“Katsina State is ready to partner with the Nigeria Police Force to eliminate non-state actors terrorizing our communities. We will provide all necessary support—intelligence sharing, logistical assistance, and community engagement—to ensure our people sleep peacefully,” Radda declared.
He called for enhanced coordination between state security agencies and the police, urging the new IGP to prioritize deployments and resources to banditry-affected states in the northwest.
Governor Radda assured the Acting IGP of Katsina State’s commitment to providing an enabling environment for effective policing, including support for community policing initiatives.
He prayed for Almighty Allah to grant Disu wisdom, strength, and divine guidance to lead the Nigeria Police Force successfully.
