Central Bank of Nigeria (CBN) has released a directory containing the contact details and email addresses of its branches nationwide to report cash availability over the counter in Deposit Money Banks (DMBs) and Automated Teller Machines (ATMs).
A public accountability platform, Tracka, tracked that Kebbi state government budgeted N100million to empower less privileged but according to Tracka, projects tracked showed that only sixty persons were empowered with sewing machines and grinding machines from the N100million allocation for Kebbi South senatorial district.
The Independent Corrupt Practices and other related offences Commission (ICPC) has claimed that 76 percent of individuals who encountered bribery requests in the Northwest region resisted recording highest refusal rate among Nigeria’s geopolitical zones as an indication of growing resistance to bribery in the region, while 70 per cent of Nigerians who were approached for a bribe in 2023 refused to comply nationwide.
