KATDICT organizes training on Data Protection and Privacy for personnel from Northwest states

Katsina State government through the state Directorate of ICT (KATDICT) has organized a regional capacity building training on Data Protection and Privacy for ICT personnel from all Northwest state.

The Director General KATDICT Naufal Ahmed says this initiative positions Katsina State as a pioneer in driving data protection compliance and digital governance across the region.

Naufal Ahmed noted that the objective of the training is building the foundational knowledge and technical skills required for the implementation of the National data protection act 2023 among ICT and data management personnel across the Northwest states.

The training will equipt the participants with the capacity to serve as master trainers and Data Protection officers within their respective institution.

The 40 participants are officers selected four (4) each from Kaduna,Kebbi,Jigawa, Sokoto,Kano and Samara States as well as 16 participants from various MDAs within katsina State.

The capacity building training is expected to increase capacity on Data Protection laws and obligations, strengthened institutional frameworks for privacy compliance and digital trust.
