Katsina Explorers, in collaboration with the Football Association have presented Katsina SWAN with an Award of Excellence and Appreciation as Sports Journalists of the Year.
The award was presented at the 3A Conference Hall during the second edition of the 2025 Katsina Ballon D’or Fiesta Ceremony.
On behalf of the organisers, the chairman of the award presentation DG Dikko Sports Movements Abubakar Sani, handed the award to Nasir Gide, State Chairman of the Sports Writers Association.
Nasir Gide thanked the organisers for honoring the association and promised to continue providing support and cooperation in promoting all sporting activities in the state.
The SWAN Chairman also praised the organizers’ efforts to recognize several categories of young bright players in the state, saying it will inspire others to excel in their football careers.
