The Emir of Katsina Alhaji Abdulmumin Kabir Usman has emphasised the need for more concerted effort towards restoring the lost glory of Northern Nigeria.
Alhaji Abdulmumin Kabir Usman stated this when he received the newly elected Executives of Katsina State chapter of Arewa Consultative Forum led by the chairman Alhaji shehu Musa Malumfashi on a courtesy visit.
The Emir of Katsina Alhaji Abdulmumin Kabir Usman said stakeholders must to be proactive in restoring the good image of Northerners in the area of peaceful coexistence, education, Agriculture and other sectors of human development.
The Emir expressed delight over the formation of Katsina state chapter of Arewa Consultative Forum to contribute towards addressing the challenges affecting the people in the region.
Alhaji Abdulmumin Kabir Usman who described the forum as part and parcel of Katsina Emirate, charged the Executives to strive hard in coming up with various initiatives aimed at enhancing unity and development among people.
He added that his doors will remain open to the forum for consultation on the way forward as the activities of the are purely service to Humanity.
Alhaji Abdulmumin Kabir Usman assured to provide an office Accommodation to the forum to discharge its activities effectively.
The Chairman of Katsina State Chapter of Arewa Consultative Forum Alhaji Shehu Musa Malumfashi said that essence of the visit is to introduce themselves as the newly elected Executives of the forum and to seek for fatherly advice from the Royal father.
Alhaji Shehu Musa Malumfashi said the ACF Katsina state chapter was formed in 2024 with leaders on Acting capacity and in the last three months they were elected as new officials.
He pointed out that part of the activities of the forum is to create awareness to people on various issues of national concern through consultations for overall development of the Northern states.
The chairman revealed that the forum has recently sponsored some children for surgery on typhoid fever at FHT Katsina, procured medication for distribution to health facilities and produced jingles on impact of voter registration exercise.
He requested for the provision of an office accommodation to the forum by Katsina Emirate.
Earlier, the Dan wairen Katsina Alhaji Sada Salisu Rumah who is the publicity secretary of the forum said the forum has over four Hundred people and prominent personalities as members.
