Kwara State Governor AbdulRahman AbdulRazaq has called for more and urgent security deployment to Eruku community in Ekiti Local Government to immediately curtail the new wave of attacks in the area.
Governor AbdulRazaq made the call in a statement issued by his chief press secretary, Rafiu Ajakaye shortly after his sympathy visit to the affected community.
He sought immediate deployment of more security operatives to support the existing security architecture in the area.
Governor AbdulRazaq condemns the attack, and sympathises with the people of Eruku and environs, especially families and the CAC directly impacted by the attack.
According to him the state government will continue to support the security agencies to tackle these challenges and ensure safety of lives and properties across the state.
The Governor, also commended President Bola Tinubu for the deployment of 900 additional troops to strengthen security in the state.
He expressed confidence that the additional troops will provide further deterrence, and overall safety for the people, as well as bring permanent calm, to the affected communities.
