The Katsina State Chapter of the Nigeria Union of Journalists Football Team has emerged as the winners of the 2025 SWAN/Dikko Radda Super Four football competition organized by the Sports Writer’s Association of Nigeria Katsina State Chapter.
The winners, NUJ football team emerged victorious after defeating the Medical Health Workers Union Katsina chapter, by a lone goal.
Ahmed Almustapha Bindawa of Katsina post scored the decisive lone goal through a free kick from 27 yards to claim the trophy for his team.
The lone goal was scored a few minutes before the regulation time after a tight encounter between the two finalists.
Shortly after, trophies, gold, silver, and bronze medals, and two sets of balls were presented to the winners, runners-up, and third place, respectively.
The final match, which took place at the Muhammadu Dikko Stadium in Katsina, was attended by the state sports commissioner, Eng. Surajo Yazid Abukur; top government officials; traditional rulers; and sports enthusiasts in the state.
The Head Coach of NUJ Team Comrade Aminu Musa Bukar appreciated the performance of his team urged them to maintain.
