Katsina Football Academy has congratulated five of its players who were selected by the Katsina United Football Club ahead of the NPFL 2025/2026 upcoming season.
This is contained in a press statement signed by the academy’s sporting director, Shamsuddeen Ibrahim, and made available to media organizations and social media handles.
According to the statement, the selection of the academy’s players is another milestone reached by the academy in nurturing young, talented players.
The Academy Sporting Director Shamsuddeen Ibrahim, who wishes the players success, expressed optimism that the players will discharge the confidence reposed in them.
Shamsuddeen Ibrahim charged the players to be disciplined, dedicated, and resilient and exhibit sportsmanship as they start a new chapter in pursuing their football careers.
He similarly extends the academy’s appreciation to the management of Katsina United FC for finding it worthy to select the academy’s players into the top-flight club in the state.
Shamsuddeen Ibrahim attributed to successes recorded by the Academy to the unwavering support and cooperation from the state governor Mal Dikko Umar Radda PhD CON.
The Academy Sporting Director also commends the good leadership of the state Sports Commissioner Aliyu Lawal Zakari Shargalle in moving the sporting activities in the state to a greater height.
Assured the Academy’s readiness to continue exposing young, talented footballers in the state, and there is still more to come for the Players as the Academy is working tirelessly to secure more contract with Clubs both in the Nigeria premier league and abroad.
The players selected are Umar Yusuf, Nasir Ahmed, Hassan Abubakar, Kabir Muhammad Kabir, and Usman Abdullahi.
