Medical and Health Workers Union of Nigeria North-West zonal meeting in Katsina

The Medical and Health Workers Union of Nigeria, an affiliate of the Nigeria Labour Congress, has held its North-West zonal meeting of the Tertiary Health Institutions National Consultative Forum in Katsina.

The meeting took place at the National Obstetric Fistula Centre in Babbar Ruga and was attended by union executives from across the North-West zone.

Speaking at the event, the National Vice President of the forum, Comrade Doctor Akinlaya Davidson, said the meeting focused on strengthening the union and improving the welfare of its members nationwide.

He reaffirmed the union’s commitment to advancing the interests and well-being of its members.

In a remark, the Katsina State Chairman of the union, Comrade Bishir Ibrahim Gyaza, represented by Comrade Yusuf Ahmed, urged members to remain united, describing unity as key to success.

Earlier, the Chairman of the union at the National Obstetric Fistula Centre, Comrade Kabir Sani Dabgani, appreciated the zonal leadership for choosing Katsina as the venue.

Other speakers included the Medical Director of the centre, Professor Sadiya Nasir, Zonal Coordinator Comrade Bello Gusau, and former National Vice President, Comrade Hussaini Ahmed.

The meeting was attended by chairmen, secretaries, and other zonal officials from across the North-West.

High point of the meeting was awards presentation to various Health Stakeholders who contributes to the members of the Union
