At 61, Radda Salutes Zamfara Governor

Katsina State Governor and Chairman of the Northwest Governors’ Forum, Malam Dikko Umaru Radda, has felicitated with the Zamfara State Governor, Dauda Lawal, on the occasion of his 61st birthday, describing him as a dependable partner in the collective push to secure and develop the Northwest region.

Governor Radda stressed that his Zamfara counterpart is a governor whose leadership has been felt well beyond his state’s borders, particularly in the fight against banditry and insecurity that has long threatened the peace of the sub region.

“Governor Dauda Lawal has shown, through consistent action, that he understands the urgency of the security challenges confronting our region. His contributions to the joint security architecture of the Northwest have brought renewed confidence to communities that had known little peace for years,” the Katsina governor said.

Governor Radda also commended his ally’s strides in the education sector, noting that Zamfara’s recent investments in schools, teacher welfare and access to quality learning have set a commendable pace for the region.

The Katsina governor further described Governor Lawal as more than a colleague. Still a genuine partner in the Northwest Governors’ Forum’s shared vision of a safer, more prosperous region, stressing that such alliances would continue to define the progress being recorded across the six states.

Governor Radda, on behalf of the government and people of Katsina State, prayed for Governor Lawal’s continued good health, wisdom and strength as he marks another year, expressing confidence that his administration would keep delivering purposeful leadership to the people of Zamfara State and the Northwest at large.
