The Peoples Democratic Party in katsina state has fixed fees for nomination forms for aspirants in the state’s forthcoming local government election.
The fees are 100 thousand naira and fifty thousand naira respectively for those eyeing the Chairmanship and Councilorship seats .
The Caretaker Committee Chairman of the Party in the state, Alhaji Musa Abdulkarim Makarfi made the disclosure during a press briefing in his office
He said the party had resolved to fully participate in the forth coming Local Government election.
The Chairman also announced the time table of activities line up by the Party for the council election.
Makarfi disclosed that notice of election had already been served on 23 of April, 2024 while sales of forms for those interested in Chairmanship and Councilors seats would be from Thursday 25 April to 2nd of May, 2024.
The Caretaker Committee Chairman stated that all completed forms should be returned to the party on Friday 3rd May, 2024 while screening of councilorship candidates would hold on 4th to 6th of May, while screening appeal follows on 7th May,2024.
According to him, those contesting for Chairmanship position are due for screening on 5th May to be followed by screening appeal on Monday 6th.”
He said PDP had fixed Saturday 11 May for councilorship Primary elections and election of three Ad-hoc delegates while Wednesday 15th May was set aside for the conduct of chairmanship Primary election.
Alhaji Makarfi added that PDP would submit the final list of it’s candidates to the State Independent Electoral Commission soon after the said process.
