Atiku ‘ll Restore Governance – Lado

The Presidential Candidate of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) and former Vice President, Atiku Abubakar, will restore good governance, if elected as the nation’s next President, Katsina State governorship flag bearer of the party, Senator Yakubu Lado, has said.

Lado gave this assurance on Monday at Rimi, Rimi Local Government Area of the state during PDP campaign rally.

He said the opposition party’s presidential standard bearer will give the nation a new lease of life to enable state and local governments to discharge their responsibilities to the people at the grassroots.

The erstwhile legislator blamed the prevailing harsh condition of living across the country on insensitivity of the All Progressive Congress (APC) led federal and state governments.

He further assured that the PDP government would address the poverty and hunger in the land and ensure dividends of democracy get to the people at the grassroots.

The governorship hopeful, who lauded the positive disposition of Rimi people towards PDP,  promised to implement policies, programmes and projects, if given the mandate to better the lots of all, especially youths and women.

Earlier, the Director General of the state campaign council, Dr. Mustapha Inuwa, who received the leaders of thousands in the area that defected from APC to PDP, lauded Rimi people for taking their rightful place in the wind of change blowing across the state and the nation.

Dr. Inuwa described Atiku and Lado as leaders with a large heart, adding that the PDP big wigs will no doubt achieve lofty goals that had eluded the current federal and state administrations.

Present at the rally were the chairman of the campaign council, Sen. Umar Ibrahim Tsauri, the state chairman of the party, Lawal Magaji Danbachi, and the PDP one time chairman, Kabir Wada Daudawa.
