The Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) has expressed serious concern over the rising socio – economic crises in the country, saying the helplessness of the Federal Government to stem the challenges is more than enough for electorate to vote out the All Progressive Congress (APC) from power.

The gubernatorial candidate on the platform of opposition party in Katsina State, Sen. Yakubu Lado, who was reacting to the growing scarcity of Naira and unemployment in the midst of insecurity in the country on Friday at Kafur, home town of the State Governor, Aminu Bello Masari, during the PDP campaign rally, stressed that the cry of Nigerians over the difficulties should no longer be termed as politics or propaganda.

Sen. Lado maintained that there was no further proof needed by people to know the incapability of  the APC in handling the challenges, adding that the condition of living in the country has become very worrisome.

According to him, “it is no longer politics or propaganda to mention the kind of suffering that people are going through. The new Naira notes are not available, that is part of the hardship brought about by the present administration, but the government is concerned about the challenge.”

He cautioned: “You know the price of fertilizer, the cost of a machine  (motor cycle) and food items. Is there anyone here that can withdraw one million naira or that can withdraw N50,000 from POS?

“If you really want this sufferings to end, do the needful; turn out end masse during the presidential and governorship elections and vote out APC, that is the only solution to the predicaments.”

The PDP gubernatorial candidate argued that the pitiable conditions of people were a  reflection of the bad shape of all sectors of the nation’s economy after nearly eight years of APC government.

Specifically, he expressed dismay over the plights of youths and women and assured that PDP government, if elected, would make a difference.

His words: “We have had eight years of APC government, what do you have to show for it? We will, by God’s grace make a difference or do you want what is happening to continue? The forthcoming elections will be a liberation struggle that must be supported by all patriotic  citizens.”
