Ahead of the February 25th Presidential/National Assembly polls, the incumbent member representing Batagarawa, Rimi, Charanchi Federal Constituency in Katsina State in the House of Representatives, Hon. Hamza Dalhat, has quit the ruling All Progressive Congress (APC).

The law maker made this known in a “Notice of Resignation From The APC” he sent to the chairman of Batagarawa ‘A’ Ward of the party.

The January 26th letter copied to the chairmen of the party in the Batagarawa Local Government Area and the state respectively, stated that his decision to resign his membership of the APC was with effect from that date.

Dalhat, who attached his membership card to the letter as appropriate but gave no reason for his action, however expressed gratitude to members of the party that contributed in making his stay in the party quite remarkable.

“May I also use this opportunity to thank all my supporters and indeed the entire people of Batagarawa, Rimi, Charanchi Federal Constituency for the opportunity they gave me to contribute my quota in the development of our country while working in the House of Representatives.

“Please, accept the assurance of my continued esteemed regards and consideration,” he wrote.

Recall that Hon. Dalhat and seven other incumbent members of the House of Representatives from the state failed in their bids to represent APC again in their constituencies in the forthcoming general elections.
