Governor Radda promises automatic employment at UMYU’s 13th Combined Convocation and Investiture of new Chancellor

Governor Dikko Umar Radda of katsina state has announced the automatic state civil service employment to the Best performing graduated students of Umaru Musa Yaradua University Katsina.
Governor Dikko Radda made this known while conferment of investiture of the university chancellor to Senator Ibrahim Idah as fourth chancellor of the university.
The governor congratulated the new chancellor and urged him to use his wealth of experience to take the university to the greater height.

He commended the university for the award of Honorary Degrees to illustrious son and daughters of the state for their outstanding performance.

Governor Radda stated that his administration is determine to restore the State’s glorious days as education vanguard and Agricultural hub. He maintained that he embarked on improving the standard of education by upgrading the infrastructural facilities of existing schools and building new ones as well as recruitment of more and qualified teachers.

Governor Radda who congratulated the recipient of the Honorary Awards, charged the graduated students to be enterprising and job creators as white collar jobs are not forthcoming

Similarly, the Umaru Musa Yaradua University katsina has awarded over ten thousands Bachelor’s Degrees, post graduate Diplomas, Masters Degrees and PhDs in various field of human Knowledge.
The Vice Chancellor of the University Professor Salihu Muhammad disclosed this at the university combined convocation ceremony held at the university in katsina.

Professor Salihu Muhammad explained that out of the number, 9946 were awarded with Bachelor’s Degrees while 922 were awarded with post graduate Diplomas, Masters Degrees and PhDs in various Specialisation.

The University has also conferred the Honorary posthumous Degrees to late Alh Garba Ammani Funtua and late Hajia Hassu Iro Inko whom both were distinguished individuals who left indelible marks in the history of the development of the state.

Also conferred with Honorary Degree for their contributions to the state were Senator Ibrahim Idah, Alh Saidu Barda and former governor Alh Aminu Bello Masari.

In a remarks, the newly conferred Chancellor of the University senator Ibrahim Idah who expressed appreciation for the honor, pledged three key priorities that include being committed to academic excellence, promote students success and Community engagement to uplift the university.

The occasion had in attendance the dignitaries from various Academia, parents and families of graduating students among others.
