The Katsina State HISBA Board has organized a one-day sensitisation workshop for Ulamas from all Islamic sects across the 34 Local Government Areas of the state.
The event, held on Saturday, aimed to foster unity, deepen understanding, and strengthen collaboration among Islamic scholars and HISBA commanders across the state.
Speaking at the event, the State Commander General of the HISBA Board, Sheikh Dr. Aminu Usman Abu Amar, said the workshop was convened to deliberate on the establishment and operational framework of the HISBA Board in Katsina State.
He emphasized the need for synergy among stakeholders and called for advice and contributions from the Ulamas to enhance the implementation of the board’s programs and activities.
Dr. Abu Amar also noted that the workshop provided a platform for HISBA commanders from each of the 34 Local Government Areas to share insights and experiences on the execution of their assignments at the grassroots level.
He commended the efforts and dedication of the local commanders, acknowledging their significant contributions to the growth and effectiveness of HISBA operations across the state.
In his presentation, the Legal Adviser of the Katsina State HISBA Board, Barrister Jabir Bello, delivered a paper highlighting the legal and moral responsibilities of the board.
He underscored the board’s commitment to promoting justice, morality, and humanitarian values in society.
The workshop concluded with active participation from local commanders, who contributed valuable suggestions aimed at enhancing the overall operations of the board.
The event marks a significant step in fostering collaboration between religious leaders and the HISBA Board for the betterment of Katsina State.
