He highlighted its mission, key activities, and remarkable achievements, reaffirming the foundation’s vision to evolve into a sustainable institution that will serve generations to come.

He further praised the foresight of the Foundation’s founder, His Excellency, the Executive Governor of Katsina State, Dr. Dikko Umar Radda, whose vision and leadership laid the groundwork for the foundation’s continued development.

The visiting team, from IIT led by West African coordinator Prof. Bashir S. Galadanci, commended the Gwagware Foundation for its humanitarian work and expressed IIIT’s readiness to partner on initiatives that will enhance education and intellectual development.

IIIT was established in 1980, and operates in over 45 countries and is dedicated to strengthening the intellectual capacity of the Muslim Ummah. Its work includes publishing Islamic literature, organizing capacity building workshops, and promoting advanced studies at the university level.

Prof. Galadanci revealed that IIIT’s current priority is the integration of knowledge, with plans underway to establish an Islamic Open University alongside certified skills development programs through TVET training.
Significantly, he announced that the proposed university will be sited in Katsina. Under the proposed arrangement, IIIT will provide the academic and intellectual framework, while the Gwagware Foundation will contribute the physical infrastructure.

Both agreed to continue discussions to formalize the partnership, a step that promises to advance educational and intellectual empowerment in the north west region.
