My dear people of Funtua Zone,
As we commemorate Democracy Day, I extend my warm greetings and best wishes to all the good people of Funtua Senatorial District.
Democracy is not only about elections; it is about improving the lives of our people through security, justice, economic prosperity, and equal opportunities for all. Today, our zone continues to face serious challenges that require urgent attention and collective action.
The persistent insecurity affecting our communities has claimed lives, displaced families, and disrupted economic activities. We must work towards restoring peace and protecting our people, especially farmers, traders, women, and children.
The current economic hardship has placed enormous burdens on families. The rising cost of living, unemployment, and poverty demand practical solutions that will empower our youths, support small businesses, and create sustainable opportunities for economic growth.
Education remains the foundation of development. Our children deserve access to quality education, well-equipped schools, and an environment that encourages learning and innovation. No society can prosper while neglecting the education of its future generations.
As an agrarian region, Funtua Zone requires greater investment in agriculture. Our farmers need improved security, modern farming equipment, access to credit facilities, fertilizers, and markets to maximize productivity and contribute to national food security.
Our roads, many of which are in poor condition, need urgent rehabilitation and expansion to facilitate trade, movement, and economic development. We must also improve access to healthcare, electricity, clean water, and other critical infrastructure that directly impact the wellbeing of our people.
On this Democracy Day, let us remain united in our pursuit of a safer, stronger, and more prosperous Funtua Zone. Together, we can build a future where every citizen has the opportunity to thrive and where the dividends of democracy reach every community.
May Allah continue to bless Funtua Zone, Katsina State, and the Federal Republic of Nigeria.
