The Katsina State private sector has been urged to identify promising ideas, mentor young entrepreneurs, and invest in youth-driven businesses.
The appeal was made by the Wife of the Katsina State Governor, Hajiya Zulaihat Dikko Radda, represented by the wife of the Chief of Staff, Hajiya Maijida Andaje, at the 2nd Students Chief Executive Officer Trade Fair held at the Karakanda Stadium, Katsina.
The event, themed “Smart Business, Students Leading the Way,” was organised by the Office of the Special Assistant to the Governor on Student Matters in collaboration with the Katsina State Development Management Board to commemorate the 2025 International Students Day Celebration.
Hajiya Zulaihat Dikko Radda emphasized the need for young people to continue nurturing their talents, creativity, and ideas, noting that the youth are not only leaders of tomorrow but are already shaping the future today.
In his opening remarks, the Special Assistant to the Governor on Students Matters, Alhaji Muhammad Dangaski, praised Governor Dikko Radda for his continuous support toward students’ activities and scholarship programmes.
He also expressed gratitude to individuals and organisations who contributed to the success of the fair.
Other speakers at the event including the CEO of SABLE International, Alhaji Sadiq O. from Lagos; the Special Assistant on Higher Technical Education, Alhaji Adana Nahabu; Dr. Aminu Bara’u from Kano; and the Special Assistant on Nutrition and Welfare, Hajiya Hadiza Yar’adua commended the participating students for creating their own opportunities through skills development, describing skills as both power and a tool for survival.
