Katsina football academy has distributed training Kit’s to the newly unveiled players recruited in to the Academy.
The state commissioner of sports and youths development Aliyu Lawal Zakari launched the distribution of the training Kit’s to the players at the conference hall of Muhammadu Dikko Stadium Katsina.
Addressing the Players, the commissioner, Aliyu Lawal Zakari congratulated the players for successfully joining the State owned football academy.
Aliyu Lawal Zakari used the occasion to charge the players to be of good conduct and play hard in order to achieve their football dream.
The sports commissioner also emphasized the academy’s accomplishments since its start, which include the selection of three academy players by the U-16 national team, the NPFL Youths Team, and nine players by the Bondy Academy in Paris.
In his remarks, academy sporting director Shamsuddeen Ibrahim stated that the newly presented players, numbering 17, were chosen from various local government areas of the state following a screening exercise.
Shamsuddeen Ibrahim added that each of the players was provided with two sets of boots, training beef, socks, jerseys, and handbags.
He revealed that they would continue to do their best to tactically nurture the players in order to meet the goals established.
The governor’s wife’s representative, Special Adviser Public Service Reforms, Alh Usman Isyaku, state director of Sports Abdu Bello, and Hajia Hauwa Radda are among the dignitaries in attendance.
The dignitaries similarly visited the academy’s facilities and a presentation of an award to Her Excellency Haj Fatima Dikko Umaru Radda is among the highlights of the event.
