International Day Against Drugs Abuse and Illicit Trafficking holds in Katsina

The Katsina state Commander of National Drug Law Enforcement Agency, Commander of Narcotic, Sama’ila Danmalam has charged youths to shun drugs abuse and illicit trafficking.

NDLEA State Commander, who was represented by ASC Muhammad Sale Gumal, gave the charge during a one day Rally and Dialogue organized by Queen Dijjah Women and Children Awareness Initiative in collaboration with NDLEA and State Department of Drug Narcotics and Human Trafficking, Katsina State, held at WTC Katsina.

At the event ASC Mustapha Mai-Kudi presented a lecture on consequences of Drug Abuse among youths, and effects of drug abuse in the society.

Earlier the founder of Youth Initiative Against Drugs Abuse and Human Trafficking, Comrade Hussaini Usman Rafukka said the event was part of this year’s International Day Against Drug Abuse and Illicit Trafficking by United Nations.

Also speaking, the founder of Queen Dijjah Women and Children Awareness Initiative, Ambassador Khadija Suleiman Saulawa, expressed dismay over increasing drug abuse among youth and women in the society.

The highpoint of the event was distribution of notebooks to participating students which shows the dangers and effects of drugs abuse among youths.
