A combined team of security operatives in katsina state made up of troops of Nigerian Army, the police, members of state community watch corps, special and local hunters has rescued seventeen passengers in Batsari Local Government Area of the state.
Katsina State Governor, Malam Dikko Radda, as part of efforts to ensure the full functionality of the Funtua Inland Dry Port, on Thursday, appealed to the Federal Government to rehabilitate the rail line from Zaria to Funtua. The aim is to connect the Funtua Inland Dry Port to other major economic centers of Nigeria.
