Presidential Election: APC in early lead in Katsina State

The ruling All Progressive Congress (APC) presidential candidate, Bola Tinubu, has taking an early lead in the presidential election result being collated by the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) in Katsina State with  81,930 votes in the seven local government areas declared thus far.

The APC recorded the highest votes in six out of the seven local government areas comprising Musawa Ingawa, Charanchi, Kaita, Matazu and Dutsi.

The opposition Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) with 69,775 votes from the seven local government areas however triumphed over APC in only Batsari Local Government Area.

The New Nigeria Peoples Party (NNPP) is trailing the two political parties with 8,629 votes in the seven local government areas so far collated by the commission as at press time.

Collation of the result is expected to continue in a moment at the centre after a short break.
