Katsina budgets N50 million for nutrition intervention

Katsina State Government has budgeted fifty million naira in 2024 approved budget for Nutrition Intervention programme.

The State Chairman committee on food and nutrition,  who is the Permanent Secretary, Ministry for Budget and Economic Planning, Alhaji Shehu Maikano stated this during the first quarter meeting of the committee held at the conference hall of old government house katsina.

Maikano said in the first quarter of 2024 meeting, “there is need to get reliable nutrition data for monitoring progress of stakeholders activities .”

He reiterated  the vital role of food and nutrition in sustaining healthy society, driving economic growth and promoting human development.

The Chairman of the committee encouraged members  to share expertise and work together towards a common goal, ensuring that every individual in the state has access to safe, healthy and sustainable food.

Highpoint of the meeting was presentation of report of last year by the Planning officer of the ministry, Abdulrahman Jibrin.
