Insecurity: Katsina donates money, food items to families of late security operatives, assures on safety of residents

The Katsina state Government has donated money which was in millions of naira and 24 bags of rice to the families of security Watch Corps, vigilante and others who lost their lives in the  line of duty.

The Senior Special Assistant on victims of banditry and IDPs to the Governor of Katsina state Malam Dikko Radda, Sa’idu Ibrahim Danja kogunan Jibia  presented the assistance to the victims in Sabuwa local Government area  and Natsinta Baracks in Katsina.

Jibia was in Sabuwa local Government to condole and give assistance to the families of Katsina security watch corps, vigilante and others that lost their lives in line of duty 

 The Special Assistant added that  the money given was shared accordingly: one million naira was given to the families of Katsina security watch corps; five hundred thousand naira (N500,000)  to the families of vigilantes who lost their lives in line of duty.

Jibia added that the money was not in any way intended to compensate the victims’ family but to serve as assistance that will help in bringing succour to their lives.

Earlier in his welcome address, the chairman of  Sabuwa Local Government Area, Faruq Hayatu Sabuwa appreciated the state Governor’s tireless support in protecting lives and properties of residents of the state.

In a related development, the state Government has given assistance to the families of the Nigerian army at Natsinta barracks Katsina 

The state Government under the leadership of Governor  Radda gave more than nine million Naira to the families of the  Nigerian army that lost their lives while protecting lives of others.

In a speech by the commissioner of internal for security and home affairs Dr Nasiru Mu’azu Danmusa who represented the state Governor condoled the families on behalf of the Governor, said  Government will not tolerate any form of criminality in the state and it will do it’s best in tackling insecurity. 

In a vote of thanks, Brigadier General of the 35 battalion at Natsinta barrack Katsina, O .A Fadairo appreciated the state Governors efforts on behalf of the beneficiaries.

He promised the state Government that all hands will be on deck to flush out terrorism in the state.
