Katsina Local Government Council Announces 100 Major Achievements Within First Six Months of Hon. Isah Miqdad AD Saude’s Administration.

The Katsina Local Government Council is pleased to announce the successful execution of 100 landmark achievements and developmental projects within the first six months of the administration of Hon. Isah Miqdad AD Saude, Executive Chairman of Katsina Local Government.
This milestone reflects a clear commitment to purposeful leadership, strategic planning, and timely delivery of essential services across all sectors of governance. Guided by a vision for a modern, inclusive, and progressive Katsina.
Hon. Miqdad has spearheaded reforms and development initiatives that have positively impacted the lives of residents in all 12 wards of the Local Government.
Under his leadership, the Council has implemented transformative projects in key areas such as healthcare, water supply, security enhancement, education, infrastructure development, agriculture, social welfare, and digital governance.
These interventions include the renovation and upgrading of health facilities, construction and rehabilitation of extensive drainage systems, installation of solar-powered streetlights, expansion of motorized boreholes to address water scarcity, and comprehensive improvements in public schools and administrative structures.
The administration has also prioritized human capital development through wide-ranging empowerment programs. Notably, the Council empowered 105 indigenes with brand-new POS machines and ₦50,000 start-up capital each, provided grants for small-scale enterprises, offered fully funded scholarships, and facilitated ICT and vocational training programs for youths.
Vulnerable groups have also benefitted significantly through enrollment into state health insurance programs and targeted community support initiatives.
In the area of security, Hon. Miqdad has strengthened community protection efforts, including the completion of the NSCDC outpost at Filin Kanada and the enhancement of local vigilance frameworks.
The Local Government Secretariat and the Legislative Chamber have undergone significant upgrades, improving administrative efficiency and creating a conducive environment for governance.
Additionally, the launch of the first-ever digital local government website in Katsina State marks a major stride toward transparency, accessibility, and modern public service delivery.
These 100 achievements serve as a testament to Hon. Miqdad’s dedication to elevating the standard of governance and fostering sustainable development at the grassroots.
The Chairman reaffirmed his administration’s commitment to maintaining this momentum and delivering even greater progress in the coming months.
