The Katsina State APC Gubernatorial Candidate, Dr. Dikko Umar Radda, has pledged to tackle insecurity if elected as governor.
He made the pledge at a campaign rally in Funtua after resuming his campaign tour of the state after a short break.
Dr. Radda plans to train youths, who will work with security agents to fight bandits.
He also reiterated his plan to improve agriculture, healthcare delivery, education and empower women and youths.
Earlier, the APC candidate had covered Katsina North and Central Senatorial Districts where he visited all the wards in the two senatorial districts.
At the campaign rally, many people defected from the opposition party, PDP, into the APC. Among the prominent PDP members was the former PDP Katsina State Treasurer, Alhaji Garba Tela Faskari, former candidate for Kankara, Faskari and Sabuwa Federal Constituency, Alhaji Abdulkadir Faskari, and Alhaji Hassan Damina Funtua, a prominent PDP member since 1999.
Those in Dr. Radda’s entourage included his running mate, Alhaji Faruk Joɓe, the Katsina State APC Chairman, Alhaji Sani Daura, former running mate to APC Presidential Candidate, Alhaji Ibrahim Masari, the Director-General, Katsina State APC Campaign Council, Arch. Ahmed Musa Ɗangiwa, Senator Abu Ibrahim, among others.
