Former CPSO to Buhari now Katsina CP as AIG Abdurrahman takes charge of Katsina, Kaduna zone

Stakes are getting higher in the bid to beef up security in Katsina State as more top notch police officers emerge in the home state of President Muhammad Buhari.

The latest in the list of high profile security officers deployed to Katsina is the President’s immediate past Chief Personal Security Officer, CPSO, Aliyu Abubakar Musa, who was decorated recently by the President, assisted by the Inspector General of Police, IGP, Usman Baba Alkali, and his spouse, Hajiya Maryam Ibrahim.

Recall that the event was witnessed by the Chief of Defence Staff, General Lucky Irabor, among other personalities.

The new police commissioner has a solid background, part of which he cultivated as security operative in the Presidency. 

Upon his decoration with the new rank of CP, the President could not hide his satisfaction with Musa’s professionalism, even as he confessed: “Serving me is very difficult.”

 President Buhari, who commended his erstwhile CPSO and other security officers and personnel on their excellent work towards ensuring his safety and that of his family, on Wednesday in the State House, stressed his high regards for the officers.

He commended the decision of IGP Alkali Baba to elevate the erstwhile Deputy Commissioner of Police to the full rank of a Commissioner, saying, “I am very pleased with his records.”

To the newly promoted officer, the President urged need to always remember his training and to exhibit sensitivity while carrying out his duty in his new position.

CP Musa, in his remarks, thanked the President and the IGP for the elevation and assured of his total loyalty and full commitment to duty.
