Katsina State Sports Commissioner, Aliyu Lawal Shargalle has monitored the ongoing 2024 Governor’s Cup at the Katsina Center
The Commissioner, along side the State Sports Director Audu Bello, were present at the Natsinta Barracks playing field to witness the match between Batagarawa and Jibia local governments football teams.
During the visit, the Commissioner exchanged pleasantries with the players and encouraged them to be of good conduct and sportsmanship throughout the competition.
Shargalle used the visit to reiterate the state government’s commitment to developing sports for the benefit of the state’s teeming youth.
He thanked Governor Dikko Radda for his tireless efforts to ensure the plight of youth in the state.
The match between Batagarawa and Jibia ended in favor of Batagarawa with a single goal while Katsina local government defeated Kaita by two goals to nil.
