Katsina State Independence Electoral Commission KTSIEC has extended the period of sales of nominations forms for the forthcoming Local Government Elections schedule to hold on 15th February, 2025.
This is contained in a press statement signed by electoral commissioner of the commission, Dauda Muhammad Kurfi and was made available to KatsinaMirror.
The statement said, the extension was necessary following the request by Inter Party Advisory Council, IPAC, for the adjustment.
According to the statement the commission had approved the extension of the deadline from 9th of November to 14th of November 2024.
It could recalled that the commissioner had earlier slated 31th October to 9th November this year as the period of sales of nomination forms 006, 006A, 007 to all candidates sponsored by the political parties.
The statement added that non refundable fees for the Nomination forms still remains as follows, forms 006 for Chairmanship N3,000,000, forms 006A for Vice Chairmanship N2,000,000 and forms 007 for councilor ship N1,000,000.
The statement further reiterated that the initial mode of payment for the forms remain the same through a certified bank draft payable to Katsina State Independence Electoral Commission KTSIEC.
