The Katsina State Branch of the Nigeria Social Insurance Trust Fund (NSITF) has joined counterparts across the globe to commemorate the 2025 World Day for Health at Work.
Speaking to newsmen in Katsina, Officer II of the NSITF, Usman Haruna Masanawa, explained that this year’s celebration focused on the theme: “Revolutionizing Health and Safety: The Role of AI and Digitalization at Work.”
As part of activities marking the event, the NSITF organized the World Health Day at Work Road Show 2025, aimed at showcasing how emerging technologies particularly artificial intelligence and digital tools are reshaping the future of workplace health and safety.
Usman Haruna emphasized that the primary goal of the event was to raise public awareness, engage various stakeholders, and inspire both employers and employees to embrace innovative solutions that foster safer and healthier working environments.
He also reminded workers across the state and the nation about the importance of prioritizing their health and safety, especially during their active workforce years.
He noted that the World Day for Health at Work, observed annually on April 28, provides a crucial platform to reflect on best practices for maintaining health standards in workplaces.
The event highlighted NSITF’s continued commitment to promoting workplace safety and leveraging technology to enhance the well-being of Nigerian workers.
