Radda at Emir of Daura Palace for Sallah, pledges structural development of Katsina

Katsina state Governor, Dikko Radda has pledged to provide more social and infrastructural development for Katsina State.

He gave the pledge at the Emir of Daura’s palace while delivering the Ed-Elfitr Sallah celebration message. 

He said that in  the last eight months of stewardship, his administration has been able  to fulfill many of his campaign promises in areas of security, education, water supply, health, institutional reforms, the civil services and many more.

Governor Radda said his administration recruited 7,325 teachers, awarded foreign scholarships to Katsina State indigenes  to study MBBS Medicine in Egypt, procurred Twenty Metric Tones of fertilizers for rainy season farming, distributes palliatives to the vulnerable people in the state, procured drugs and hospital equipment to health facilities across the state, upgraded two PHC Clinics to General hospital, to mention but a few.

Radda further mentioned  his administration’s efforts to provide infrastructural development for the state. 

According to him, his administration had awarded contracts for the dualization of township roads in Katsina Metropolis and Eastern bypass roads.

 The Governor  felicitated with the people of Katsina State and wished them a more peaceful and joyful Sallah celebration. 

The state Commissioner of Information and Culture, Bala Zango also revealed that Governor Radda urged residents to pray fervently for peaceful coexistence in the state and in Nigeria as well.

Meanwhile, the  State government, under the leadership of Governor Radda   has reiterated its commitment to implementing policies and initiatives aimed at improving the welfare of its citizens.

Speaking at the “Hawan Magajiya” Special Durbar, in Daura, Governor Radda emphasized the government’s commitment to the well-being of the common man. 

He expressed gratitude for the support of the people and urged for continued prayers to ensure the success of upcoming policies.

Governor Radda highlighted recent achievements, including the recruitment of teachers and the awarding of foreign scholarships to deserving indigenous students, which were conducted solely on merit-based criteria. He emphasized the importance of transparent procedures in ensuring that targeted beneficiaries have access to opportunities.

Furthermore, Governor Radda affirmed the government’s adherence to established protocols in all its endeavors, underscoring its commitment to transparency and fairness.

In a bid to preserve cultural heritage and promote tourism, Governor Radda pledged increased investment in supporting emirate councils. This initiative aims to position Katsina State as a premier tourist destination.

Additionally, Governor Radda promised to make attending the annual Sallah Durbar in Daura a government tradition, akin to the practice in the Katsina Emirate.

The “Hawan Magajiya” Durbar witnessed the presence of notable dignitaries, including Deputy Governor Malam Faruq Lawal Jobe, Speaker of the State House of Assembly Nasiru Yahya Daura, and Bulgarian Ambassador to Nigeria, Yanko Yordanov. Also in attendance were Barrister Abdullahi Garba Faskari, Secretary to the Government of the State, the Chief of Staff of the Government House, Hon Jabiru Tsauri and various members of the legislative and executive branches of government.
