Ahead of inauguration: Nurses, midwives congratulate Radda, Jobe

The Chairman of the National Association of Nigeria Nurses and Midwives (NANNM), Katsina State Council, Comrade Haruna Mamman, and the State Secretary of the association, Idris Bello Idris, have felicitated with the State Governor – elect, Dr. Dikko Umar Radda (Gwagwaren Katsina), his deputy, Alhaji Faruk Lawal Jobe, on their victory at the just concluded  gubernatorial election and official inauguration on Monday, May 29, 2023.

Comrades Mamman and Idris said the victory comes with a lot of responsibilities, adding that nurses and midwives that account for 65% of the total healthcare workforce are the state government’s partners in progress.

The healthcare professionals, in a statement issued by Mamman and Idris on Thursday, assured: “will do their best in ensuring that the general populace enjoy the dividends of democracy by doing their best in discharging their assigned responsibilities.” 

They wished the incoming government Allah’s blessing, wisdom, strength and capacity even as they prayed the Almighty to provide Dr. Radda and Alhaji Jobe with the right persons to assist them in fulfilling their campaign promises.

“Equally, we are hopeful that His Excellency will appoint the good hands amongst his political allies especially with the recent selection of two key stakeholders from each local government area with the aim of assisting his government in fulfilling the promises made,” they stated.
